The EXP and materials you gain from doing activities and gathering are much greater in this mode, within a 30 minute game it is easily to accumulate over 20 skill points and upgrade a weapon or two all the way. In addition to that there are 48 challenges, some repeatable and you aim to complete 5 each game. They are the same card packs that you open and receive from progressing the campaign story.

Since the object of the mode is to survive and replay, at the start of each new game you can select 0-5 cards which modify our score from a range of -100% to +100% depending on the make your game easier or more difficult. If you die, its perma death and you just jump into a new game, rinse and repeat. The object of the game is to survive as long as possible, no saving. Each time you replay the same map, albeit TR is randomized each time. I feel like the best comparison of endurance mode is Call of Duty Nazi Zombie mode. There is no learning curve, inventory management, building placement, upgrade tiers etc (all of which are major turn offs for me). The main reason it is enjoyable is the 'survival' aspect is different from Don't Starve and all the other survival, rouge-like, crafting games that are incredibly common today.
